The Sayreville Economic and Redevelopment Agency (SERA) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a new riverfront bar and restaurant featuring indoor–outdoor dining, a bar, seasonal outdoor seating, and a public viewing deck along the waterfront.
This public–private partnership is designed to activate underutilized waterfront land and create a new destination for residents and visitors.
Key Facts:
• The land will remain publicly owned
• The project will be 100% privately financed
• No taxpayer funding will be used
• The developer will pay an annual lease to the town
• The project will include public waterfront access
• Wetlands on the site will be fully protected and not developed
