Raritan Street Study Area Outreach Continues
SERA continues its outreach to property owners within the proposed Raritan Street study area regarding potential redevelopment opportunities and the possibility of a Transit Village designation.
Property owners have received information explaining the redevelopment process, the potential benefits of designation, and opportunities that redevelopment could create for the area. With the NJ Transit Park and Ride located nearby, the area is particularly well positioned for potential transit-oriented development around existing transportation infrastructure. 2026-09-10-Executive-Director-R…
As part of the next phase of outreach, SERA will invite property owners to an in-person meeting on the evening of October 14. New Redevelopment Fee Schedule
SERA is also taking steps to formalize a new redevelopment fee schedule for proposed projects.

The variable fee structure is intended to ensure that SERA is appropriately compensated for the resources required to review and process projects while creating a consistent and equitable approach to redevelopment fees. 2026-09-10-Executive-Director-R…
